VTRAC Worldwide conducted Public Opinion Survey in association with Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) & UrbanWorks Institute for Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).

The objective of the survey is to understand the traffic behavior of an individual by considering the various parameters like demographic location, age, living standard, daily basis travel mode, distance & time taken during the peak / non-peak hours and also the willingness to pay for the alternate roads for reduced and managed traffic.

User and Non-User Surveys - Gender studies for Bangalore Zero Emission Buses

VTRAC Worldwide performed User & Non-user perception surveys to understand the satisfaction levels and issues around BMTC bus services for further improvements while transitioning to electric buses. The objective of the surveys is to understand the users and non-users perception about BMTC bus services during pre-COVID period across the city of Bangalore and also to give an opportunity to the user and no-user to express on how they feel about the safety measures required during their travel.

Traffic Impact Analysis Study for BBMP

VTRAC Worldwide conducted traffic analysis survey in and around Majestic location at Bangalore, mainly focusing on the key junctions. The survey is performed using video graphic method for the designated number of days to understand the traffic movement to different directions. The survey covered over 50 major junctions of Majestic. The project was executed in association with Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore.

The main aim project is to facilitate the assessment of present and future traffic demands, for the development of need-based infrastructure accurate information and continuous monitoring of traffic by appropriate methods is necessary. Government authorities must therefore ensure that sufficient and appropriate data is available to undertake necessary planning, design, construction and maintenance of the road network in the city, which is aimed at meeting the prevailing traffic flow, future traffic growth and loading without considerable deterioration in the quality of service.

Traffic Survey
Shell Technologies India

It is one of the prestigious projects for VTRAC Worldwide. The scope of the project is traffic survey analysis conducted using video graphic method for the Shell India.

The main objective of this project is to analyse the vehicle movement at the major junctions near the fuel pumps and also conducted in planning for new fuel pumps.

The main analysis will help to define the placement of a fuel pump, potentiality it is an important factor that influences business success of a petrol station which relies on customer visits. In absence of the exact information on the number of customer visits, traffic volume can be chosen as a proxy to it through traffic-counts observation technique using the vehicle movement around the location.

Origin-Destination Survey
Traffic Volume Counts & Origin-Destination Study

VTRAC Worldwide performed Origin-destination (O-D) survey in the Ongole stretch of Andhra Pradesh at three different Toll Plazas functioning between Chilakaluripet to Nellore. The task was executed for 24 hrs for 4 days with a total 60 manpower in total.

The Origin-destination (O-D) survey provides a detailed picture of the trip patterns and travel choices of a city's or region's residents. These surveys collect valuable data related to vehicle classification, type of goods, and trips patterns before and after COVID19. This information will support our stakeholders to understand travel patterns and characteristics; measure trends; provide input to travel demand model development, forecasting, and planning for area‐wide transportation infrastructure needs and services; and, monitor progress in implementing transportation policies.

Hyderabad Metro Ridership Study

Team VTRAC Worldwide played important role in the Metro Ridership Study for the city of Hyderabad. The project was executed for Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation. Vtrac Worldwide performed survey in the city of Chennai to understand the transit reliability of bus, local train & metro and its impact on mode choice among residents in the city. It was one of the proactive step toward improving public transportation services in the city. By gathering data directly from residents, policymakers and transportation authorities, can gain insights into the challenges commuters face and identify areas for improvement in the bus transit system.

The survey likely covered various aspects related to bus, local train & metro transit reliability, such as frequency, punctuality, cleanliness, safety, accessibility, and comfort. It may have also explored factors influencing mode choice, including cost, convenience, travel time, reliability, and environmental considerations.

This survey was performed in 4 different phases at various geographic location in the city of Chennai and gathered over 2,600 household samples.
